Music Production Short Courses aimed at either complete beginners or those looking to further their current level of experience have been specially designed. With a hands-on experience led by professional music producers/sound engineers on a one to one basis, the student will learn the key music production techniques needed to be successful.

 

 

Music Production Level 1 £299

The Level 1 course aimed at the beginner will involve three sessions with your instructor. It will cover the following topics:

  • Track Arrangment
  • Utilising Music Production Software 
  • Mic selection/placement for live audio.
  • Cabling and Connectors.
  • Production techniques and Programming Midi.
  • Creative use of fx processors.
  • Using a professional mixing console
  • Mixing and Mastering techniques involving how to use eq, compressors, limiters, panning, automation, reverbs to create a professional sound.

Music Production Level 2 £499

 

The Level 2 course will offer the complete music production experience. Carried out over 5 sessions with your instructor, it will include all of the elements of the Level 1 course but will go into much further detail when recording audio being given the opportunity to have a hands on experience at recording live drums, guitar, piano, vocals etc. You will then get the opportunity to mix and master your own recordings with your course tutor. 

 

Extra elements inluded in Level 2 course:

  • Using different mircophones to achieve different sounds.
  • Recording various live intruments whether that be guitar, piano, bass, drums etc.
  • Recording different vocal arrangments to produce a group or choir effect.
  • Mixing in detail your own recorded audio to form your finished track.
  • Mastering your own audio to an industry standard.
  • Take away your recorded files to practice at home and an audio cd of your mix achieved in the studio.
